Recently when I was watching India vs South Africa test match when Sreesanth had a dance with his bat, the advertisements which came in between were misery. The advertisement of Maruti Zen-this dabba,that dabba ......how many dabba 's were there? god alone knows!. This add theme of Maruti had nothing to do with the product 'zen". Perhaps the new zen is better than the old dabba -is this what the advertisement is conveying , add to that the length of 'ad' adds nothing but salt to the injury!
There are many such advertisements which do nothing but destroying the brand image. one question which haunts me is that advertisement agencies in name of so called 'creativity' truly create one of the worst advertisement. somebody said "creativity without sense is nothing but a nonsense".
On the other side of the story, there have been good advertisement themes , which really touched viewers heart. what we need is an advertisement that not only helps to build the brand but also makes sense for the viewers.
